Today, October 1st, AKC launches its new mixed-breed program. Mixed-breed owners can begin enrolling their dogs to receive special benefits from AKC. The AKC Canine Partners listing will not only allow enrollees to participate in AKC stand-alone Agility, Obedience, and Rally events, but will include special offers that benefit both owners and their dogs, including a lifetime enrollment in AKC CAR’s Lost & Found recovery service (which includes a custom AKC collar tag) and a one-year subscription to AKC Family Dog magazine. Plus, enrollees will receive a personalized and frameable AKC Canine Partners Certificate of Recognition and a special AKC Canine Partners decal.

How can customers list their dogs with AKC Canine Partners?

The AKC Canine Partners listing application will be available both online and on paper (paper application is now available online in the downloadable forms section - http://www.akc.org/pdfs/mixedBreed/ADM001.pdf).

AKC Events with Mixed-Breed Classes

AKC has received a lot of interest from clubs to hold mixed-breed classes! In fact, prior to program launch, approximately 50 clubs have already submitted event applications for events with mixed breeds. Exhibitors can search for events offering mixed-breed classes within AKC Event Search. To narrow their search, they are to click “mixed breed classes” under the Obedience/Agility/Rally tab. Please note that mixed-breed classes will be available for events held on or after April 1, 2010.

Where can customers find more information?
